ChartHouse Education Team Philosophy
There’s no age limit to finding happiness and deeper meaning.
Life can be sensational at any age, from an eager pre-school kid
raring to go, to a studious college grad poised on the edge of adulthood
and beyond. Our great opportunity as educators is to help young people
build active, engaged, and purposeful lives.
The underlying point of view in the FISH! For Schools philosophy
is that meaningful learning happens best when the learner is directly
linked to, and involved with, the content being presented. When young
people are motivated and enjoying themselves, they pay attention.
When they pay attention, they learn… and their excitement is
contagious!
The vital act in education is the act of participation – students,
teachers, parents, everyone! Our real challenge in education is connecting – connecting
people to people, people to concepts, concepts to how we live our
lives. Everything we create as part of FISH! For Schools is designed
to help us connect… and that’s when the magic happens.
